What ethash hashrate to expect from your Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
Depending on your environment, room temperature and other hardware configurations you should be able to expect hashrate anywhere between 19 – 21 MH/s.
For anything below the above hashrate you should consider a possible hardware fault, incorrect overclocking or temperature throttling.
What Hashrate/Watt efficiency ratio to expect from your Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 card
The Hashrate/Watt efficiency is a ratio between power usage and hash generation. Here, you need to make a choice based on the power cost. The higher the watt/hash efficiency ration the greater hash generation per 1 Watt. The highest efficiency per Watt we were able to obtain from the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 was 271.0 K hash per 1 Watt.
To calculate your mining efficiency you first need to obtain hashrate and watt values. Once ready simply divide hashrate with number of Watts used. For example if your hashrate is 20.05MH with Watt usage 74W your efficiency is: ( 20.05/74 ) * 1000 = 270.9K hash per Watt
When overclocking your NVIDIA card always test in small increments and keep an eye on VGA’s core temperature. Failing to do so may result in a permanent hardware damage.
Recommended Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 overclock settings for best efficiency
The cost of the power is in many cases the decisive factor on your overclocking approach. The following Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 settings can be used to reach the best hashrate/watt efficiency. Once again, your result may vary:
Absolute Core Clock | Memory Clock | Power Limit | Hashrate | Efficiency |
---|---|---|---|---|
150 | 1400 | 75 | 20.05MH | 270.9K |
