- The easiest way to remove the dock from the Ubuntu’s GNOME desktop is to remove a relevant extension package like in this example we remove
gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock. To do so execute the below command:$ sudo apt remove gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock
- Log out and Login to your Ubuntu GNOME desktop. The dock panel should now be removed.
