How to install Stacer on Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa Linux Desktop

In this tutorial we will be installing the Stacer system monitoring tool on Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa Desktop.

Stacer installation on Ubuntu 20.04 step by step instructions

Install Stacer from command line

  1. Start by opening a terminal window and execution of the bellow apt command:
    $ sudo apt install stacer
    

    All done.

  2. You can start the Stacer using the below command:
    $ stacer
    


Install Stacer using graphical user interface

  1. Open software application

    Use top left Activities menu to open the Software application.

  2. search for stacer

    Search for stacer application.

  3. Stacer installation

    To begin the installation press the Install button.

  4. Enter your username and password

    Enter your username and password. Your user needs to belong to sudo administrative group.

  5. Start the Stacer application

    Start the Stacer application
